These terms govern your use of the Metrom apps and this website. They are a practical summary for store listing and everyday use, not a substitute for formal legal counsel.
Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Metrom, or by using metrom.dev, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the apps or site.
The service
Metrom is a practice metronome application for iOS and Android, provided by Ryan Olson. Features may include tempo control, meter, subdivisions, swing, accents, tones, song presets, haptics, background playback, and optional on-device microphone listen for tempo suggestions.
License
Subject to these terms and the applicable App Store or Google Play terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Metrom on devices you own or control. You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, or misuse the app except as allowed by law.
Your responsibilities
- Use Metrom in a way that is safe and lawful (for example, volume levels that protect hearing).
- Do not attempt to disrupt or abuse the apps, site, or related services.
- Comply with Apple’s and Google’s store terms where they apply to your use.
No warranties
Metrom and this website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the metronome will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for professional performance-critical use.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ryan Olson and Metrom will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the apps or website. Our total liability for any claim relating to Metrom will not exceed the amount you paid (if any) for the app in the twelve months before the claim, or zero if the app was free.
Third-party stores
Purchases, refunds, and billing for Metrom are handled by Apple or Google under their policies when you obtain the app from their stores.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
